When I access a woman’s face in my clinic, I look at the contours and the balance of the curves of her face.

One of the signs of a youthful face is having defined cheekbones giving the illusion of an upside down triangle which anatomically and through history was seen as youthful. High defined cheekbones contribute towards a smiling face. You can test this yourself by looking at the mirror while you’re giving a big smile.

Defined cheekbones is partly due to your bone structure, your muscle definition and how much fat padding you have. Of course the bone structure is what you were born with but the muscles can be strengthen like how you would exercise your muscles in the gym and your fat pad can be stimulated through vigorous massage.

In this video, I wanted to share with you a simple facial exercise to strengthen and define the muscles that gives your cheekbones it’s sexiness, fullness and cuteness. It focuses on the facial muscles zygomaticus major and zygomaticus minor.

The longer you do this exercise, the better. Consistent is key and the more you do it, the longer you get to keep your cheeks looking defined and youthful…the natural way.

Ps: If you find you’ve lost too much volume in your cheeks or you’re not patient enough to wait for the results with facial exercises, you can also consider volumnisation with dermal fillers or thread lifting. You can find out more information on the following pages:

If you’re unsure what’s best for you, consider coming into the clinic for a consultation and assessment.

Until then, work those muscles and keep smiling.

Yours truly,
