What is the SHINE Method™

The SHINE Method™ is a resilience framework that helps women turn their stress and skin issues into signals and fuel for deeper self-trust, strength and self-love.

Without realising it, it was a process I went through to heal my own skin from breaking out and flaring up. I used this process with my patients in different capacity for the last 18 years culminating what I’ve learned as an Integrative Doctor and a woman in her late 40s who normally wears her stress and emotions on her skin.

As I reflected on my work all these years, I came up with the SHINE Method™.

The philosophy is simple. 

You can’t rush healing.
You can’t glow when you’re burning out.

True resilience starts beneath the surface — in the way you listen to your body, honour your rhythms, and express your truth.

Your skin is simply the mirror showing you how well you’re attuned to yourself.

Grounded in both science and soul, the SHINE Method™ draws inspiration from psychodermatology (the mind–skin connection), integrative medicine, root cause medicine, psychoneuroimmunology (the study of how emotions influence our physiology) and neuroaesthetics (the crossroads between neuroscience and art/beauty).

The SHINE Method™ is made up of 5 pillars

🌿 Skin Wisdom

Your skin is your storyteller. This pillar is about getting to know your skin on a deeper level, building a closer relationship with her and be more in tune to her needs.

🌙 Hormonal Rhythm 

Hormones are your rhythm keepers. This pillar is about understanding how they ebb and flow so you can work with them, and not against them.

🔥 Inner Power 

Your energy is your life currency. This pillar is all about energy management – what fuels you and what drains you. Everything from the microscopic power source of your mitochondria to the invisible forces like your self-sabotaging tendencies and boundaries.

🧘‍♀️ Nervous System Regulation 

A grounded nervous system makes you unshakable, not because life stops testing you, but because you know how to stay steady in the storm. This pillar is all about resetting and soothing your nervous system so you can find more peace despite the noise inside out trying to pull you from your intuition.

🎨 Expression

This pillar is about developing the courage to express yourself either through your voice, words or art out of curiosity, love, joy and even pain. Your voice, creativity, and authenticity are medicine. Expression isn’t about volume — it’s about truth. When you speak, move, and create from your essence, you radiate effortlessly.
